MSOComprex is a small software that allows you to remove or resize images from an MS Office file (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX), to reduce its size. It also allows you to restore the original images after the text has been modified, for example to be translated, typically in CAT software.

Typical use case: when a PDF is converted to DOCX with MS Office, it often produces very large files by resizing images (a 4M PDF can become a 130M DOCX). This large file is difficult to exchange by email, or to send in a CAT software without reducing its size.

MSOComprex is easy to use: drag and drop a file to compress on the “MSOComprex.bat” program. To restore the images, select the compressed file and its original, and drag and drop them onto the “MSOComprex.bat” program.
